Before gaining global fame as the leader of GOT7, JAY B (Lim Jaebeom) made his debut in the K-pop scene as part of the dynamic duo JJ Project, alongside fellow GOT7 member Jinyoung.
Formed under JYP Entertainment in 2012,

It perfectly highlighted JAY B’s powerful vocals and dance skills setting the stage for his future as a multifaceted artist. Through JJ Project, JAY B demonstrated his ability to mix various genres while maintaining a distinct identity.
Following the success of their debut, JJ Project continued to build a dedicated fanbase although the duo eventually shifted focus when they debuted as part of GOT7 in 2014. However in 2017, JJ Project made a highly anticipated comeback with their album “Verse 2” Unlike their previous work, “Verse 2” showcased a more mature and introspective side of the duo featuring self-composed tracks and lyrics that reflected personal growth and life experiences. JAY B’s musical evolution was clear as he began exploring his talent as a songwriter and producer.
